His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, met in Baghdad, Ismail Abdullah, Secretary General of the Arab Theater Authority, on the eve of his arrival in the Iraqi capital on a working visit to start the arrangements and procedures for Iraq’s hosting of the fourteenth session of the Arab Theater Festival. Dr. Al-Badrani stated that Iraq With its artists and officials at all levels, they welcome the holding of this important Arab festival in Baghdad, stressing the Ministry’s support for any measures in order to make the success of holding a distinguished session of this festival, considering it an important occasion for Iraq, the cradle of civilizations and the pioneer of culture in the past and present. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, who received all appreciation and respect.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Arab Theater Authority expressed his happiness for his presence in Baghdad, and conveyed to the Iraqi minister and his companions his personal happiness and the happiness of the Arab Theater Authority and the Arab playwrights on the occasion of the festival in Baghdad, as the news of its hosting of the fourteenth session raised the ceiling of the artistic expectations that the festival represents in the map of Arab theatrical action. The Secretary-General also affirmed the keenness of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to accomplish a milestone session befitting the name and status of Baghdad, and befitting the creativity of Arab playwrights, and an Arab theater that spreads the sublime messages of our civilization and unites the efforts and hearts of Arab playwrights, as Baghdad will perform in This session includes theatrical figures from all Arab countries, in addition to the best productions of the Arab theater.
The meeting, which brought together Minister Badrani and Ismail Abdullah, included the Director of the General Administration of the Authority, Nasser Al Ali, and the Director of Training, Rehabilitation and School Theater, Ghannam Ghannam, as well as the Director of the Cinema and Theater Department in the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Musa, the Head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Dr. Jabbar Judy, and the Director of Theaters, Dr. Ali. Sudanese.
