The Department of Greek Education of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, the General Secretariat of Hellenism Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, AHEPA, as well as the National Gallery – Museum of Alexandros Soutsos, are some of the very important bodies that support the 10th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media” which will be held in Boston.
The television and radio spot of the event, starring the well-known journalist and presenter, Nikos Aliagas, was released. The program is organized by the Workshop for the Study of Social Issues, Media and Education of the Early Childhood Education Department of the School of Educational Sciences of the University of Ioannina, the MaliotisCulturalCenter of the HellenicCollegeHolyCross of Boston and the AmericanHellenicEducationalProgressiveAssociation (AHEPA).
In addition, the following organizations and University departments participate in the anniversary International Summer University: Boston University Philhellenes, The University of Chicago, Center for Hellenic Studies, Set ordeGrego, Instituto de Letras, Rio De Janeiro University, Study in Greece and other organizations to be announced shortly.
The action is scheduled to take place from May 28 to June 2, 2024, at the cultural events hall of the MaliotisCulturalCenter in Brookline and is under the auspices and with the support of G.G. of Hellenism Abroad and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It bears the title: “The spread and teaching of the Greek language in the diaspora of America”.
