The interesting singer Atvara releases a joint song with Tomas Kalderauski

The young singer and songwriter Atvara released the single “paris reizītes” in a duet with singer Tomas Kalderauski. The song was written at the songwriting camp “RigaLive together with producer JJ Lush or Jānis Yachmenkina.

The stylistically peculiar and interesting song “a couple of times” is about a rather unsuccessful relationship, indecisiveness and bile vented on each other. “A happy relationship is a huge job, and most often when we are young, when emotions rule over reason, we tend to choose not the right partner for us, but simply the person that gives us butterflies in our stomachs. But it doesn’t always end brightly,” says Atvara, one of the authors of the song.

Atvara and Tomas Kalderauski have known each other for many years, so it was not difficult to work together, but the idea of the song belongs directly to the producer. “We entered the room where we planned to compose, and Jānis said, “we’re writing something juicy, where we put each other down properly, but – well, we could do it a couple more times…”. All three laughed heartily about it and within a couple of hours the song was ready. “Lyrics came easily, because it is not difficult to put the other down – it is more difficult to say something good,” recalls Atvara.

“I am very glad that I was so lucky with the songwriting team at the Riga Live camp. The most pleasant surprise was JJ Lush – the first time we heard the beat of the song in the room, Atvara and I looked at each other with that look when it is clear – it will be devastating, we both got goosebumps,” recalls Toms Kalderauskis. “During the entire camp, there was also a touch of electronic music from such artists as Boooo, “Citi Zēni” or Diona Liepiņa, and that was something fresh. Fantastic experience, I’m excited!”

In the video, the singers are involved in a romantic flight. Atvara also owns part of the idea for the song clip, as do director Timotejs Rosenthal and duet partner Toms Kalderauskis. The video clip was made in Liepaja, feeling the atmosphere of the prestigious hotel “Maestro Design Hotel” and the splendor of the windy Liepaja sea coast. Tension and emotions can be felt in the clip, so the singer does not hide: “Several people asked me what our other halves said after watching the video. Well, it must be said – it looked very believable to me too, so, thank God, we all know each other and there is no reason for jealousy.”
