The air you breathe in the environment is consequently that of an ongoing revolution regarding the way of conceiving and experiencing the buying and selling of cars. The reason is linked to the desire to increase one’s income and shine again in the sales rankings. To do so, it has therefore decided to “hold on” to the opportunities created by the premium segment, the one dedicated to customers who enjoy a certain economic well-being. As confirmed by technical manager Oliver Hoffmann to Autocar, the next generation of electric cars will be embellished with paid innovations. In summary the adjustments will only be available for a further outlay of money.
For the series, one shot at the rim and one at the barrel, the Ingolstadt producer has specified that the objective is not only to make money, but to satisfy the tastes of users who have been asking for some more equipment for some time.

On-demand updates will be available on e-tron models and the e-tron Sportback. For example, the LED Matrix package will allow you to take advantage of the automatic switching between high and low beams, the animation of the car during opening and closing and the semi-autonomous parking system. Through the MyAudi app it will be possible to download new content independently without having to go to a dealer or add hardware.
The aspect that most raises one’s nose is that the House of the Four Rings has chosen this path, precisely in the aftermath of BMW’s decision to shelve the possibility of purchasing extras apart because of people’s discontent.
The German leaders shrug their shoulders and reiterate that the future of the automotive industry is on-demand. So no step backwards, on the contrary, from next year the most demanding customers will be able to satisfy their cravings only upon payment.
It cannot be ruled out that this strategy was adopted to curry favor with the Americans and Chinese, lately cold towards the German brand, but above all increasingly dangerous for companies from the Old Continent, less willing to take risks.
