Börse Express – DAX-FLASH: expected in the minus

The Dax should start with slight losses at the beginning of the week and test the 12,000 point mark. The broker IG appraised the Dax around two hours before the start of Xetra to 12 037 points, 0.43 percent below the previous day’s level. The German leading index should therefore continue the losses of the past week. Investors are still torn between corona concerns and economic data suggesting the economy is recovering.

Last week, the high number of new infections in the United States in particular pushed the Dax down by almost two percent. At the start of the week, it will be particularly exciting to see whether the leading German index falls below the 12,000 point mark – most recently, the Dax was within the narrow range of 12,000 to 12,500 points.

“The struggle of investors for the broader perspective has not yet been decided,” it said in the current issue of Fuchs-Kapital. “The stock exchange has speculated that the economy will recover. Now the real economy has to deliver. We’ll stick to it: wait and see.”

On Monday, both the economic and corporate calendar are relatively empty. Consumer prices are coming up in Germany. In terms of the individual values, it should certainly be with the now insolvent payment service provider Wirecard go high. The share still listed in the Dax had lost almost 99 percent in the past seven trading days and is likely to fluctuate further sharply
