Anouk, Esther and Jeannette have struggled through the complex baking tests week after week and on Sunday you can see how they do their best once again for the win in the final. The three finalists have known for weeks who went home with the prize, but have had to keep their mouths shut all the time. And that is quite difficult, former winners tell NU.nl. What does the winner expect?
Anna Yilmaz – winner 2018/2019
“I remember so well that on Monday after I won I just had to go back to work and was not allowed to say anything. For months I lied to colleagues and kept my girlfriends off to keep it a secret. I am very bad at lying, so then it was sometimes easier to avoid the conversation. “
“My life changed completely after the win: I still work in the navy, but I can no longer be found on the water. I used to be away for months at a time and now that I regularly have to do things on television, that is normal cannot be combined, so I work at the office now. “
“In the navy they also know that someday I will leave, my heart is really in baking. After the profit you can write a book, but with my dyslexia I don’t see myself doing it again soon. I would love to have my own open a cake tent in Amersfoort and am currently writing a business plan. “
“I have not yet found a location, but I am hopeful. And I notice that it is known All of Holland Bakt yet doors open: people recognize you and want to help you. The idea is that people can visit me later for a good coffee and a nice cake. No dieting hassle, you can just enjoy a cake. “I went totally wrong in the first assignment in the final and saw the chance of winning disappear. When the second assignment went better, I dared to hope a little, but all in all I had so much stress. And they kept putting it off and keeping it exciting. “
“The moment I was named as the winner was really a moment of enormous relief. I now have to laugh at that again when I see how the participants are doing now: I can recognize that feeling of total chaos in those last weeks. I know I also had cold sores at some point, just because my body couldn’t handle all the stress. “
“I was recognized a lot and I thought on the campsite: oh dear, people will suddenly start doing things differently.”

“After the win, I drove home and figured out where to hide the scale that I had won, because of course nobody was allowed to know that I had won. That you come to work on Monday and that you have to look very neutral is actually very strange. And that will continue for weeks. “
“In the meantime, it has been so long ago that I am no longer recognized all the time, but that was true at the time. And in advance I was quite upset. In the end, it was not so bad and it was very nice what you were going through. and may do so. “
“I still bake a lot, but especially in the homely atmosphere. I still work at the Salvation Army. I also give workshops from my own company and we run a B&B in Scheveningen. I really enjoy doing this can combine. “

Rutger van den Broek – winner 2013
“If you are the first winner to come out of the competition, you don’t have a clue what it will do with your life. I could not see how it went for others and never expected that 1.5 million people would look at how we pies were baking. “
“I thought it was a lot of fun to participate and really did it for myself. That my participation changed my life so much, I hadn’t estimated when I heard there one Sunday that I was the first winner. I got a mixing bowl and the honor, I later arranged a book deal myself with one of the seven publishers who were immediately interested. “
“After the second episode I noticed how different my life would be: I went to De Efteling with my friend for a day and heard a boy of about ten yelling loudly to his classmates that I was from television and could bake so well. “
“I am still regularly recognized, although it is not necessarily anymore All of Holland Bakt. In the meantime I have published eight books and a successful baking website, as a result of which I quit my job in the hospital to be able to fully concentrate on baking.
