The Identity of the Robber at the Blitar Mayor’s Office House Revealed, Evidence of White Rope as a Clue

KOMPAS.com – Three of the five robbers of the Wali Official House City of Blitar Santoso was caught by the police.

The identity of the perpetrator was revealed after the police carried out scientific crime investigation.

Head of Unit (Kanit) III Sub Directorate (Subdit) III Crime and Violence (Jatanras) Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the East Java Regional Police (Polda) Kompol Trie Sis Biantoro said the profile of the perpetrator was uncovered from the DNA in the evidence.

The object of evidence identified by the Team for the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) of the East Java Regional Police was a white slap rope. The rope was used by the perpetrator to tie up three Satpol PP members guarding the official residence.

“And all were successfully profiled, yes because of DNA, yes they used it crime scientific investigation,” he said, Friday (13/1/2023), quoted from East Java Tribune.

The Head of the East Java Regional Police Labfor Pol. Kombes Pol. Sodiq Pratomo said that his party managed to find DNA samples from the two perpetrators on the slap ropes.

“Then the number of suspects is from three people, we have confiscated evidence and we conducted a DNA test. Among these evidences is the rope used to tie the Satpol PP at the front post, DNA profiles of the two suspects were found,” he said in a press conference at the building. East Java Regional Police Public Relations Division.

Apart from the rope evidence, the perpetrator’s profile was also traced through an analysis of 33 CCTV recordings inside and outside The Office of the Mayor of Blitar.
