The goalkeeper of the Helsinki Hockey Club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) is no longer on the injured list and is ready to take part in today’s game against Chelyabinsk’s Traktor, the club reports.
One week ago, on 10 November, an outbreak of Covid-19 was once again detected in a Finnish unit. Initially, three patients were reported ill, however, before the game against the St. Petersburg SKA team, there were 14 players on the list of injured hockey players, including Kalnins.
Playing without several leaders, “Jokerit” lost SKA 1: 4. Two away games against Yaroslavl’s Lokomotiv and Magnitogorsk’s Metallurg were postponed. Today the team has a home match against “Traktor”. Although not all hockey players have recovered, the team will participate in the match. There are currently five players on the injured list.
This season Kalniņš has gone to the field in ten games, in which he repelled 90.8% of throws and on average scored 2.45 discs.
With 23 points in 18 games, Jokerit ranks ninth in the Western Conference.
