The Health Council fears vaccine delays in Oslo as well

Norway receives 900,000 fewer doses of Pfizer’s corona vaccine in the third quarter than the Norwegian authorities had predicted. In the current distribution, in a period where Oslo is given a particularly high priority, about 19 per cent of all Norway’s vaccine doses go to the capital.

– If 900,000 doses are lost during this period, it is 170,000 doses, Steen says to NTB.

In principle, it is only intended that the geographical prioritization of Oslo and 23 other municipalities lasts until week 28.

– We have said that with the vaccine supply we expected earlier, we should be finished with the first vaccination in week 29. I hope the delay does not affect this so much, so we can stand by it, Steen says.
