Police chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said his party was restructuring the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Police. He said the head of the Mobile Brigade Corps would later be led by a three-star general.
“We are upgrading the Kakor to become a 3-star because of the increasing duties and responsibilities,” said Listyo while delivering the mandate during the Brimob 76th anniversary celebration at the Mobile Brigade Corps Headquarters in Depok, West Java, Sunday (11/14). .
He explained, in line with the increase, later Wadankor Brimob would be appointed to the post of two-star general
Then, changes also occurred in the positions of Karobinops, Karorenmin, Danpas Pelopor, Danpas Gegana, Danpas Brimob I, II and III and Danpas Brimob IKN, which will be held by one-star generals.
Listyo said that the administrative process for the restructuring is currently underway.
“The administration is running, already at the Menpan and through the State Secretariat, hopefully it can run smoothly so that we are ready to face increasingly complex challenges,” he said.
Furthermore, he also said that as the challenges became more complex, there would be additional Brimob troops in East, West Indonesia, the National Capital.
“So that when a high-escalation situation occurs, our personnel can take steps more quickly in the field,” he said.
