Many, certainly too many, players woke up on Christmas Day without a PlayStation 5 under the tree. Sony’s next-gen console is literally nowhere to be found since it was launched, if we exclude a few, fleeting (and fruitless, for most people) appearances in the online lists of major retailers.
Therefore, very few people have managed to turn on a PlayStation 5 at Christmas, and the shared sorrow of all the others has given life to thehashtag #noPS5, which is quickly became trending on Twitter with tens of thousands of chirps. It ranges from messages of pure displeasure to inevitable memes that manage to snatch more than a smile, to videos of poor children mocked by their parents. There are even lucky PS5 owners who scoff at others! Just do a search on Twitter to get a precise idea of the situation, but we have attached a selection of tweets at the bottom for a quick reference.
Yesterday PS5 is back on sale from MediaWorld, but apparently this was a mistake as the orders were canceled. To make life even more difficult for common gamers we think organized groups of scalpers, which according to the latest estimates would have earned all together almost 20 million dollars by reselling the PS5 at a higher price, which rise to 30 million if we also take into account the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
