Thanks to the co-production with its sister Slovak TV Markíza, the show will gain in size and complexity. “We are sure that we will give all competitors many opportunities to push their limits and find unexpected skills.” adds Majeská.

From the huge number of registered, 8 Czechs and 4 Slovaks were selected, who are waiting for the fight for survival in the exotic Dominican Republic. To make the show even more attractive to spectators, the other 12 contestants come from the ranks of celebrities. These 24 individuals will compete on the island in various games for survival in the competition and overall victory.

From the Czech celebrities, the singer, actor and moderator Vojtěch Drahokoupil, known to the audience as the co-moderator of the online show Love Island Extra, actress, singer and stand-up comedian Iva Pazderková, youtuberka, blogger and presenter Nikola Čechová, moderator of the popular radio Evropa 2 Tomáš Zástěra, accepted this challenge. , finalist of the MasterChef Czech cooking competition Ta Thuy Dung alias Chili, actress and singer Barbora Jánová and also model, actor and former football player Matěj Paprčiak.

The colors of Slovak celebrities will be represented by the most watched video maker Daniel “GoGo” Strauch, winner of the 12th reality show series Farm Xénia Gregušová, popular MMA wrestler Gábor Boráros, football player and participant in the Love Island reality show Nathan Christián Dzaba and successful athlete, 14-time karate champion Veronika Havlik.

Competitors will have to deal not only with their rivals, inhospitable tropical jungle, lack of food and physically demanding tasks, but also with themselves. To survive, they will have to build a safe shelter, secure food and water, or learn to start and maintain a fire. At the end of a challenging duel, which requires strength, perseverance, determination and tactical thinking, the winning islander will have a fabulous prize of 2,500,000 crowns.

Viewers can also look forward to a great Czech-Slovak moderator duo. The Czech guide of the show will be Ondřej Novotný, a seasoned sports commentator, moderator and martial arts expert. Slovakia will be represented by Martin Šmahel, who is well known to TV Markíza viewers as the moderator of the popular online show Farma X-tra.

The reality show is created in collaboration with the leading international production company Acun Medya Global, which has already managed to create a big audience hit in Survivor in Turkey, Greece, Romania and Mexico. The format is distributed globally by Banijay Rights, a global distributor with a leading multi-genre portfolio. Since its inception in 1997, Survivor has been adapted in 48 territories and is one of the biggest television phenomena of the last 25 years. The year 2021 is so far the most successful in history in history with 24 confirmed productions worldwide.

Viewers will see the first episode on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 8:20 p.m., or the day before on the Voyo portal.
