The Hanson singer asked the team to snatch his wife from a crowd of fans

In a “mmmbop”, she would have disappeared.

Isaac Hanson, 41, insisted there ‘was a connection’ between him and his wife Nicole Dufresne, whom he only met after asking a stage manager to hold her back after a performance in 2003 .

That – only after she said he had “sung the whole show to her” and thrown guitar picks in her direction – which probably “frightened” her, he admitted.

Hot on the heels of the 25th anniversary of Hanson’s debut single ‘MMMbop’, the family band are touring again as they promote an upcoming world tour tied to the release of 11th studio album, ‘Red Green Blue’ .

Isaac, Taylor and Zac recently spoke to Yahoo! British podcast host Kate Thornton, of ‘White Wine Question Time’, airs Thursday.

The interview took a slightly awkward turn when she asked the brothers about their wives.

In a cheeky sequel, the group used the metaphorical meaning of their first hit song – an allegory of cape diem – to reference times when they “seized the day” in the past.

“Issac, the story of how you met your wife, it really touched me. You saw it – did I understand correctly? – in the crowd at a concert and you knew there was a connection, there was something,” Thornton asked the eldest of the band.

“You went to the stage manager and said ‘you have to stop him from leaving’ and that was the start of what has become a very happy marriage and a beautiful family,” she continued.

“As the moments go by, it’s brave, it’s daring and it’s downright inspiring,” Thornton quipped, before urging the other siblings to roll over.

Isaac and Nicole Dufresne got married in 2006.

Isaac replied, “I think being taken the cake for me as a whole, it was both the most persistent moment and the bravest in some ways…I had to try really hard.” »

Zac, 36, then chimed in with a clarification: “You know what people might not realize is that Issac met his wife and said to the stage manager ‘hey that girl – I gotta meet that girl .’ ”

Thornton said: “It looks dirty, I’ll be honest. It doesn’t sound… I have a hard time making it sound romantic.

It turns out the three of them married fans they met at shows – with second brother Taylor and youngest Zac finding love in 2002, during a performance of Hanson at Macy’s in Georgia.

The debut single from Isaac and his brothers, “MMMbop”, celebrates its 25th anniversary. So the family band is touring again as they promote an upcoming world tour tied to the release of the 11th studio album, “Red Green Blue.”

“Let’s make it simple,” pleaded Taylor, 39. “We met them on tour in Atlanta, and yes, Issac technically met our two wives first. »

The host joked, “Honestly, I’m starting to smell some kind of Netflix series here. »

Attempting to unravel this tangle of wives, they further explained that Taylor and Zac scouted their future spouses while the two women were working as models. Isaac then recalled how he urged women to “say hello” to his two younger brothers.

With regret, he then confessed that Dufresne was probably “a bit freaked out” by his aggressive approach. “My wife is quite introverted and I think she was thrown off a bit because I was so excited – like ‘hey, we should go out, we should do some stuff, I’ve only been here so long’”, he added.

Nevertheless, it worked. She and Isaac married in 2006, followed by Zac and Kathryn Tucker later that year. Meanwhile, Taylor had previously married his wife Natalie Anne Bryant in 2002. The three brothers and their wives share a gang of 15 cousins between them.
