Both finished second in the preliminaries, so they did not reach the finals immediately, but a semi-final still awaited them in the morning. Like the other Hungarian duo Kollár and Fejes.
In the second round, from which the top three could enter Saturday’s final, Hajdu’s were third in the semi-final, then took the lead by a hair’s breadth and won the semi-final their finals in front of the Italian and German teams. Kollarés finished fourth in the other, so they can only continue in the B final.
