Dear people of Lithuania! Happy Easter everyone!

The long-awaited joyful Easter morning reminds us that the light has already defeated the darkness, that nothing will stop the resurrected life.

Today we celebrate what we believe and what we know – truth always defeats lies, freedom defeats oppression, and in human history sooner or later the victory of good dawns.

At this special moment, I would like to wish you all to protect that wonderful feature of our nation – sharp intolerance to anger and injustice. Let’s celebrate everything that gives our lives more dignity and hope.

Dear ones, may the joy of the holy Easter include everyone – big and small, may the festive mood spread in our families! Let’s protect each other, let’s share love, let’s stay true to kindness and sensitive humanity. Because no enemy can overcome the power of love.
