This year, the ceremony will take place not in the usual place – in the cinema, but in the premises of the National Film School of the Latvian Academy of Culture. The ceremony will be led by actress Inga Alsiņa-Lasmane and actor Āris Matesovičs.
The entire live broadcast of the ceremony will be available exclusively on the portal LSM.lv from 19.30. In the first part of the ceremony, the first winners in the film and profession categories will be announced, while LTV1 will join the live broadcast before announcing the winners in the categories that cause the most intrigue each year – the best feature films, outstanding acting and others.
LSM.lv Live viewers will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the National Film Award together with Daira Āboliņš, look behind the scenes of filmmaking and find out how before the evening’s most anticipated nominations – The best feature film – Nominees for the winner’s announcement feeling.
A total of 21 categories will be awarded. A number of special awards will also be presented, including the portal LSM.lv Audience Award, but cinematographer Kalvi Zalcmanis will be honored for his lifetime contribution to Latvian cinema.
