JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The government is currently focusing on increasing the budget absorption of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program. This was done in order to boost the wheels of the national economy again.
Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani said, one of the plans to be made to accelerate the absorption of the PEN budget was the provision of compensation for employees working in the private sector.

The government plans to provide compensation to private employees with salaries below Rp 5 million per month.
“The government is reviewing to prepare the provision of salary assistance to 13 million workers who have wages below Rp 5 million,” Sri Mulyani said, in a virtual press conference on Wednesday (05/08/2020), as quoted by Kompas.com.
To realize the plan, Sri Mulyani continued, the required budget will reach Rp 31.2 trillion.
