There is a chance that soon drivers will travel toll sections of motorways managed by GDDKiA, without standing at the gates. On March 30, the government dealt with a bill changing the toll collection system.
If the draft successfully passed the legislative path, a change in the method of collecting fees, on sections managed by GDDKiOh, it will be this year. On the state sections of the A2 and A4 motorways, it may apply from December 1 this year. As a result, drivers could pass them without stopping at the gates.
The new toll system will improve the capacity on two sections of motorways managed by GDDKiA
It is about two sections of highways, A2 Stryków-Konin and A4 Wrocław-Sośnica, managed by GDDKiA. The authors of the projects want to introduce a modern toll collection system that will improve driving comfort and increase the capacity of toll motorways.

“Such a solution is necessary to improve capacity and reduce congestion thanks to the new toll collection method in the free traffic system, the so-called free flow. In addition, the new solutions will reduce the costs associated with the expansion, maintenance and modernization of the Manual Toll Collection System, and eliminate the costs of maintaining the Toll Collection Points ”.
You can buy an electronic highway ticket in two ways
If the new regulations enter into force, drivers will use the Electronic Toll Collection System of the National Revenue Administration (SPOE KAS). Agreements for manual toll collection expire at the end of November 2021. Therefore, the new system has a chance to start on December 1.

Drivers will travel on the toll highway by purchasing an electronic highway ticket. They can make the purchase online or at a petrol station. In addition, by providing the vehicle’s geolocation data to SPOE KAS, they will be able to settle their accounts using an appropriate device or the e-TOLL PL application.
The valid viaTOLL electronic toll collection system will expire by the end of June 2021. It will be replaced by a new e-TOLL.
