Owned and fully paid homes, with a mortgage, for rent, inherited … are the main types of home ownership. The most numerous category is that of home ownership, as evidenced by the 7 million fully paid home ownership that there were in our country in 2020, according to data from the General Council of Economists and which is collected in the Socioeconomic Files by autonomous communities.
And in Salamanca, how many owned and fully paid homes are there? With more than 65,000 (65,380) it is also the most numerous typology.
The second largest group in Salamanca is that of Owned homes that have been purchased but are not fully paid for -that is, with a mortgage-, of which, according to the General Council of Economists, there are almost 39,000 (38,835). For its part, the number of homes owned that have been transmitted via inheritance or donation amounts to 11,260. Rental homes exceed 12,700.
The least numerous housing tenure regime at present is the assignment. In Salamanca there are 4,130 properties within this category.
In the whole of Castilla y León there are more than 450,000 owned and fully paid homes (452,440), as well as almost 300,000 homes with a mortgage (294,735), just over 86,000 owned properties that have been inherited or donated (86,690) and more of 25,000 rented homes.
At the national level, to the 7 million homes owned, we must add another 6 million with pending payments and about 1.3 million properties owned that have been inherited or donated. In addition, there are 2.4 million houses rented and almost 430,000 transferred.
