The Government extends the scope of ISBA 2022 credits including a new line aimed at gas stations

PALMA, 25 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Consell de Govern has authorized this Monday the modification to expand the scope of the call for the ISBA 2022 line of credits, for which, with retroactive effect, it will include a new line of credits in the call to provide liquidity to gas stations.

As explained by the Government spokesman and Minister for the Economic Model, Tourism and Labor, Iago Negueruela, it is a measure aimed at these service stations and the supply of fuel and fuel that has been put in place to contribute to their normal operation. , as part of the measures adopted in the scenario resulting from the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Credits at gas stations allow liquidity to be obtained, up to 300,000 euros, without interest or the cost of guarantees, which are assumed by the Government.

This is a measure promoted by the Ministry of Finance and Foreign Relations and ISBA to guarantee its operation, and financial support to the sector in the face of possible liquidity needs from the implementation of the user discount applied by the Government of Spain. , through the bonus approved on March 29 and valid until June 30.

“This measure has been well received by business associations in the sector, at the regional and state levels, and the first operations are already being processed and approved,” they have highlighted from the Government.

The agreement specifically authorizes the modification of the call for the ISBA 2022 line of credits to entrepreneurs and companies with activity in the Balearic Islands to extend the aid regime to service stations and certain large eligible companies -up to 499 workers- -, and to clarify the eligible concepts.

SINCE 2020 IT HAS BEEN APPROVED TO GRANT 292 MILLION EUROS

The ISBA-CAIB 2022 line offers credits to receive liquidity –up to 300,000 euros– and to finance investments –up to one million euros–, and initially makes available financing of up to 70 million euros. So far this year, through the ISBA lines, operations worth 32 million euros have been approved in 314 companies and freelancers.

This line is expandable according to demand, as provided for in the agreed shock plan to deal with the impact of the war in Ukraine and as was done with the 2020 line due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this period, through the ISBA lines, operations of 292 million euros have been approved for nearly 3,400 companies and freelancers on the Islands, between 2020, 2021 and the first months of 2022.
