the Ghibli and Quattroporte now in Trofeo version!

Maserati has extended its range by presenting the Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo, the top of the range of each model with a Ferrari V8 as its heart!

Sitting at the top of the Italian company’s sedan lineup and in the footsteps of the Levante Trofeo launched in 2018, the Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo embark a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8, built at the Ferrari plant in Maranello. It develops 580 horsepower at 6,250 rpm and 730 Nm of torque between 2,250 and 5,250 rpm. It is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission made by ZF that sends all the power to the rear wheels via a locking differential.

It only takes 4.3 seconds for the Ghibli Trofeo and 4.5 seconds for the Quattroporte Trofeo to reach 100 km / h. The top speed is the same for both models: 326 km / h.

The Trofeo versions of the Ghibli and Quattroporte feature double wishbone front suspension and multi-link rear suspension, linked to Skyhook adaptive dampers and anti-roll bars. The launch control is also standard as is the melodious exhaust system, especially when you switch to Corsa mode.

New look too?

The grille with vertical bars, a more aggressive diffuser and red accents on the air ducts set the Trofeo versions apart from the rest. Both cars sit on 21-inch Orione wheels and the Ghibli also has a redesigned hood with two air vents for better engine cooling.

Trofeo embroidery adorns the headrests, while the carbon fiber inserts and natural leather enhance the sportiness and elegance of both cars inside. There’s also a new infotainment system, with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, and drivers will appreciate the semi-autonomous driving system that makes commuting more enjoyable, in town and on the highway.

The Ghibli and Quattroporte Trofeo will be assembled at Grigliasco’s factory in Turin, Italy. Regarding the prices nothing is yet known about these Trofeo editions, but one thing is certain… It will not be cheap.
