As noted in the article in the Welt am Sonntag newspaper, the main concerns of the German military are Russian high-precision long-range hypersonic missiles, which are almost impossible to intercept. In addition, the experts noted that Russia is now modernizing its nuclear potential and has about 6,375 nuclear warheads in readiness.
Experts also note that in Russia 840 thousand servicemen have been put under arms, who have worked out fast movement, which can give the Russian army superiority in a certain territory in a limited period of time.
German experts attributed the shortage of unmanned aerial vehicles to the shortcomings of the Russian army and “limited opportunities to conduct long-term naval operations on a global scale.”
As for the assessment of the threat to the PRC, experts emphasize the scale of its army of about 2 million people, 6,850 tanks, 1,600 fighters and “the world’s largest missile potential,” including hypersonic weapons. China also possesses a wide range of attack UAVs and is increasingly active in space.
However, many Chinese military personnel do not have adequate training, and the Chinese army also lacks coordination between the navy and the air force.
