At the very beginning of the pandemic, VAT had regrettably announced the cancellation of the 35th edition of the Artis Gala. The event celebrating the stars of the small screen by the vote of the public was to take place on May 10 last under the animation, for a third consecutive year, of the duo of Jean-Philippe Dion and Maripier Morin.
A big loss for the two hosts who were impatiently waiting to be reunited on stage. They had after all already started working on the production and many surprises had been planned to impress the audience. On the day of the event, Maripier Morin had also highlighted his sadness, but also his good hopes of returning to the animation of the gala.
His wishes seem to have been granted, because the Montreal Journal revealed that all was not lost for the Artis Gala. On the contrary, a new formula is being studied since the public vote had been recorded before the crisis broke out. Network leaders and the evening’s production team would therefore work hard to present the public with an event that met their expectations.
It is not an easy task, but when you think of the quality that has been rendered by the special A chance that we have and for the National Holiday, our optimism goes up a notch. If TVA wishes to organize the gala, there is no doubt that they will succeed!
