The G7 inclusion ministers will be welcomed in Assisi

(ANSA) – PERUGIA, MARCH 19 – It will begin with the welcoming of the ministerial delegations in the square, in Assisi, with an event open to all, dedicated to meeting the associative world, with people, with families, the first G7 on inclusion and disability to be held in Umbria from 14 to 16 October. This was announced by the Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, who presented the event in Perugia. Locatelli explained that in April she will be in Umbria again for a public meeting during which she will listen to the territories, associations, families and all those who want to intervene with their reflections and make their contribution. “Assisi is certainly the right city to welcome the delegations” said the minister. “On 14 October – he added – we would like a real welcome from Italy, from the people who represent families, the world of associations, the world of the third sector, and also the institutional one that deals with people. The world of associations will collaborate directly in catering, hospitality and services at the G7, where boys and girls with disabilities will bring their talents and skills to the service of such an important event”. On 15 and 16 October at the Solfagnano Castle, “the G7 ministers, together with the European representative, will meet and we will also invite four special countries, Tunisia, Kenya, Chile and Vietnam” explained Locatelli. “This must be a moment for our country in which we all feel involved in doing something better – said Locatelli – and good, which leaves a trace”. “Umbria is ready to welcome this very important moment – explained the President of the Region Donatella Tesei – in which we are protagonists. Assisi, in addition to its history, represents an extraordinary message in the field of disability, which can be perceived at the Serafico, continuous and constant demonstration of caring for people with disabilities”. “An emotional thank you full of the gratitude of the city of Assisi” was addressed by the mayor Stefania Proietti, who spoke of a “moment of reflection, of good challenge, even of celebration for everyone”. “The Seraphic Institute teaches us every day how life can be welcomed, how it can be made to flourish and must always be the center of our attention” she added. “As citizens of this area we are extremely honored and grateful for an opportunity that we feel we must deserve” the words of the mayor of Perugia Andrea Romizi.
