Giuseppe Sala try relaunching the option San Siroat least for theInter: “As a Milanese, I’m sorry if Milan goes to build its stadium in San Donato. The mayor of Milan throws an assist to the Nerazzurri, who are doing well studying the Rozzano area after the issue of the constraint on the second tier, while the Rossoneri are further on San Donato: “San Siro is far from dead. Also because in 2026 there will be the inaugural ceremony of the Winter Olympics and that year the Champions League final will most likely be at the Mrazza.”
In an interview with La Repubblica, Sala reiterates his opposition to the restriction on the second ring placed by the Superintendence and which effectively cancels the possibility of demolishing the plant to build a new one in the same spaces: “The restriction placed is
something shameful. If you put a cultural restriction on a place where football is played, then let’s extend it to 90% of the buildings in Milan.”
“Not being able to tear down the old San Siro means that the new stadium will not be able to be built next to it, because two functioning stadiums would lead to 150/200 days of events a year.
Who’s going to tell the residents of the neighborhood?” concludes Sala.
