The frightening ‘MotoGP’ crash – the federation blames Zarko

The International Motorsport Federation (FIM) has reached a conclusion in a case investigating an accident on the motorway world championship last weekend.

It has already been reported that on Sunday the victory of the Austrian “Grand Prix” in the most prestigious “MotoGP“class celebrated”Ducati“unit Italian motorcyclist Andrea Doviciozo, but the stage was overshadowed by a serious accident.

In the eighth lap of the race, Franco Morbidelli (“Petronas Yamaha”) collided with Joan Zarko (“Ducati”). Both athletes suffered severe falls, but went through healthy without serious injuries.

Maverik Vinjales (“Monster Energy Yamaha”) and especially his teammate Valentino Rossi, who only happily avoided flying motorcycles, were also lucky in this episode.

“After the evaluation, it was found that there is evidence of Zarko’s irresponsible driving, which has been punished. The Frenchman will start the next MotoGP race from the pit lane,” the FIM said in a statement.

Already this weekend, motorcyclists will compete right on the Spielberg track in the fifth stage of the season – the Styrian “Grand Prix”. True, Zarko may not start at all this weekend, because he did not take part in free practice rides on Friday. On Wednesday, the athlete underwent surgery for the right hand.

Also on Sunday, the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (“Red Bull KTM Tech 3”) and the Spanish Paul Espargaro (“Red Bull KTM”) collided. None of the motorcyclists will be punished for this incident.

The next stages are scheduled for Italy (13 and 20 September), Spain (27 September and 8 and 22 November) and France (11, 18 and 25 October).

The last stage of the season is expected on November 22.

The first stage of the season was scheduled for March 8 in Qatar, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, MotoGP athletes only started the championship at the end of July in the Spanish city of Heres.

The new season calendar foresees at least 13 stages this season.
