The event took place on Sunday evening at a casino in the northern French town of Saint-Amand-les-Eaux. The casino has hit the jackpot, the AFP agency said.
The jackpot fell on 165 connected slot machines, which stand in 38 different casinos. According to the casino operator, thanks to this system, 66 winners have appeared in the last ten years, including 31 million.
The group paid over 74 million euros for the top. Thirty-year-old Frenchman, who won the 297 machine, lives in the north.
On New Year’s Eve, a forty-year-old woman from a casino in the western French town of Saint-Malo, who threw 80 cents (20 crowns) into one of the vending machines, went to the top of 200,000 euros (dark five million CZK).
