The founder of SMRC advises the PAN to improve, alluding to the resignation of Amien Rais

Jakarta

Saiful Mujani, the founder of the SMRC survey, opened his voice after its institution was launched by Waketum PAN Yandri Susanto. Saiful Mujani estimated the PAN eligibility survey results should be 1.7% as an effort for self-improvement.

“There is no need to answer something like that. It should be input to PAN even if it is bitter. There is time to improve yourself,” Saiful told reporters on Sunday (12/18/2022).

Saiful assessed that PAN needs to introspect after knowing the survey results. He then talked about Amien Rais who has decided to leave the PAN.

“Amien Rais, who was the principal founder of the PAN, is gone. Perhaps the current state of the PAN reflects that. But there is time for improvement,” he said.

Saiful straightened the PAN eligibility poll results to 1.7%. According to him, when combined with the margin of error, the PAN could be 4.8%.

“The result of 1.7 percent with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percent means that the NAP is 4.8 percent and could be less than 1.7 percent at the time the survey was conducted survey,” said Saiful.

“In the future we will meet again, maybe it will change for the better or for the worse, depending on the work of the party itself”, he continued.

PAN attacks SMRC

PAN deputy head Yandri Susanto had attacked his party’s eligibility results issued by the SRCM poll. Yandri said the poll was invalid.

“PAN has participated in elections 5 times, Alhamdulillah, always crosses the parliamentary threshold far above the figures estimated or displayed, or narrated by investigative institutions, including SMRC,” Yandri told PAN DPP office on Sunday (18/ 12/2022).

Yandri asked related institutions not to build a narrative that brought down the PAN. According to him, the narrative does not match the facts.

“I think they really need to repent, repent in building invalid and unjust narratives. And I don’t know if they were ordered or what, always the narrative (PAN) has not passed the parliamentary threshold even if 5 times you know, except once, passed 2 times , that’s fine,” Yandri said.

Yandri questioned whether the SMRC institution was independent. However, Yandri continued, his party responded casually to the poll results.

“Maybe they use sponsors, but the thing is, the PAN always passes, even well over 6.5 points, right? If they say 1.7 percent, 1.9 percent, that’s 7.9 percent, right? It’s 8.7 (percent). lo. So, I think survey institutes who claim to be very smart and very accurate should repent but they are inaccurate,” Yandri explained.

“But that’s fine with us, we casually take it as our encouragement,” she added.

Yandri next touched the poll in his constituency. According to Yandri, PAN voters are quite unique because they are more leaning towards their candidate.

“For example, in Banten electoral district 2, the PAN vote is only 20%, the legislative candidate votes are 80%. So maybe if you want to draw a straight line with the pollsters, they might ask who is the PAN or their voted party,” Yandri said.

“There may not be many PAN candidates, but if we looked at legislative candidates, including PAN candidates, the results could be different,” he said.
