Born March 9, 1937 in Saint-Gaudens, in Haute-Garonne, he made Sup de Co and Sciences Po, then returned at the age of 26 to Fram as head of the commercial department. Her stepfather, Philippe Polderman, is none other than the founder of the company, in 1949 in Toulouse. In 1991, he took the lead of the group and will “democratize travel” by making it accessible to as many people as possible. The vagaries of the early 2000s and a family dispute over the management of the company will lead Fram to file for bankruptcy in 2015.
Georges Colson will also be the representative of travel agencies at the national level as president of the SNAV, from 2005 and for nine years. A period when the profession is facing many crises, such as the Icelandic volcano in 2010, or the Arab spring in 2011.
