Air France is preparing to include a completely new type of aircraft in its fleet. Production of the first Airbus A220-300 ends in Mirabel, Canada. It already has the final varnish, it will be ready by the end of September.
Air France has published its first images on its website. For carriers, this will be a type that will significantly reduce consumption compared to the existing fleet. The carrier has ordered a total of 60 of them, mainly replaced by Airbus A318 and A319.
The aircraft will fly in the new color scheme of Air France, on the fuselage will also have a winged seahorse, a historical symbol of Air France. Compared to the current generation of aircraft, the A220 has 20% lower fuel consumption and is 34% quieter.
Air France employees are already undergoing training to operate a new aircraft. The aircraft will fly in a configuration for 148 passengers, each seat will be equipped with USB ports A and C, and all passengers will have Wi-Fi connection from their personal devices.
