Developers Overkill Software and Starbreeze Studios and publisher Prime Matter wasted no time. The two companies clearly wanted to score a first and they got it. They revealed the first game of 2023, ie seven minutes after midnight.
The game is matter PAYDAY 3. A short teaser for the game was also shared along with the announcement. Not much is seen yet, aside from the fireworks over New York City, which are clearly for the New Year’s celebration. The four figures that can be seen at the end of the teaser just have very different intentions with a “happy new year”.
The studio also immediately announced that PAYDAY 3 will release in 2023, but no specific release date has been shared yet. The game will be released on PC and consoles.

In PAY DAY you put yourself in the role of a thief. Together with three other players – they can be complete strangers or your best friends – you have to successfully play different robberies complete. Sounds simple enough, but it’s not. There’s a lot going on in a heist, and in total you only have eight hands to pull it all off.
From previous two games they were very successful, but for the third title there was a disagreement between the developer and the publisher. Ultimately, Starbreeze bought the franchise for $30 million in 2016, so it’s paying off now.
