The police in Innlandet announced on Twitter that they had responded to reports of a fire in a commercial building at Roverud in Kongsvinger.
Just before 23:30 they reported that the fire service has the fire under control and that there is currently no danger of spreading.
Around midnight, they say that the evacuees, from a total of 18 homes, can return to their homes.
Operations manager for the police in Innlandet, Øyvind Bakken, tells TV 2 that there should be no people inside the building.
– The building has caught fire and there is a risk of it spreading to nearby buildings, Bakken told TV 2 when they first arrived at the scene.
