This Friday morning, the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center of Cartagena has been the setting for the ‘Feminist Dialogue between Peoples’ conference, organized by the Department of Equality within the 8M celebration events, they are designed, not only from a feminist perspective, but also anti-racist, and they are committed to equity and equality through dialogue as a fundamental feature of a democratic and diverse society, highlighting the leading role of racialized communities.

Women who represent various racialized communities, such as gypsy, African, Muslim, Asian or South American participate in it. sharing their experience through a round table in which they exposed the problems faced by women who are not white in today’s society and, in many cases, from the uprooting they suffer when growing up in a country and a culture different from that of their parents.

Before this table has taken place a gypsy historical memory performance carried out by the group of Gypsy Feminists of Cartagena.
