the expert said that Putin will not help the transfer of the economy to war footing – Politics – tsn.ua

By signing the law on “special measures” in the economy, Russian President Vladimir Putin is trying to put the economy on a war footing. But it is unlikely to work in the current conditions.

Putin understands that the operational staff of the Russian armed forces, which was at the time of the beginning of the invasion, is no longer enough.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told about this on the air of TSN.

“Putin is trying to fix the situation, he is trying to put the economy on a war footing. He understands that the war has gone to exhaustion and they immediately realized that they were losing this war. That operational reserve or that operational staff of the Russian armed forces, which they had at the time the invasion began, is no longer enough,” Zhdanov said.

He recalled the data from the American Institute for the Study of War, which indicated that 65-70% of the reserve of the Russian Federation has already been spent.

Where can I get a reserve? Hence the law on this labor service appeared. But the most important thing is that it takes time to fulfill this law. This should have been done a year before the invasion. Such forecasts sounded – that the Russian economy, with the target performance, needs from 6 to 11 months in order to transfer the economy to a military footing. Today it can hardly work, especially under the conditions of sanctions pressure, the lack of components, and in the conditions in which the enterprises are located,” the military expert explained.

Recall July 14 Putin signed the law on “special measures” in the economy during the conduct of the so-called “operations” abroad by the Russian army. The law allows you to introduce overtime work and forcibly attract companies to fulfill the state order for the needs of the army.
