European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced a new EU-US partnership, including additional supplies of liquefied natural gas from the US to the EU to replace Russian supplies.
“Tomorrow, together with US President Joe Biden, we will present a new chapter in our energy partnership. We are talking about additional liquefied natural gas from the United States to the European Union to replace the Russian liquefied natural gas we have had so far,” he said. she told reporters in Brussels.
“We will not allow Russia to circumvent sanctions by demanding rubles for its oil and gas supplies,” Ursula von der Leyen said.
