The Epic Games Store will continue to broadcast free games in 2022 as well

Epic has released its annual appraiser, which contains quite surprising statistics.

The Epic Games Store published for last year annual evaluator, in which it assessed the performance of the year 2021, and we can draw very serious lessons from it: Epic currently has 194 million PC users, which was 34 million more than in 2020.

In addition, the number of games available in the store has doubled, to 917 games – but most importantly, free games will be available in 2022, on a weekly basis.
Now we show the most important statistics of the year evaluator:

  • 194 million users on PCs, 34 million more than in 2020;
  • 31.1 million daily active users, 13.2 million occasional users;
  • 917 games for sale, nearly double 2020;
  • Users spent $ 840 million on games in the Store, a 20 percent increase;
  • 36 percent of sales are from third-party games – spending $ 300 million, an increase of 12 percent.
  • 765 million free games in 2021 out of 89 free games.

Looking at the numbers, Epic has seen quite a massive increase, although it’s also certain that none of the companies like to share negative statistics. In addition to the overwhelming statistics, it was also shared that in 2022 as well the weekly series of free games continues, and the most recent retractable title is Daemon X Machina, which is worth looking at.

And the significant growth of the Epic Games Store is actually one of the best things that could have happened (and we hope this trend will continue) as GOG is quite loss-making, acquisition announced by Microsoft and for that reason, Battle.net will most likely disappear in the sinker in a few years – and let’s face it, it would be refreshing to see that Steam finally has a decent competitor.
