The Eagles of Death Metal in concert at the Olympia before testifying at the November 13 trial

CONCERT – The Eagles of Death Metal are in Paris for the trial of the November 13 attacks. Some members of the hard rock band will witness the events on Monday May 9 and Tuesday May 10. More than six years after the terrorist attacks, this stopover in the capital allowed the American group to play at the Olympia, as you can see in the video at the top of the article.

Despite the traumatic event that took place more than six years ago, the atmosphere is festive. The group started their concert with the title of Sister Sledge, We Are Family, as reported France Info.

The group was on stage at the Bataclan on November 13, 2015 when everything changed and terrorists burst into the room. The attackers had killed 90 people among the 1500 spectators of the concert. The members of the group had managed to escape.

Among them, bassist Matt McJunkins, sound engineer Shawn London, singer Jesse Hughes and guitarist Eden Galindo are civil parties and will have to testify. Matt McJunkins and Shawn London will take the stand on Monday May 9 while the other two will testify on Tuesday May 10. Julian Dorio, the band’s drummer, also filed a civil action but should not testify.

The last time the Eagles of Death Metal played in Paris dates back to November 13, 2017, two years after the attack. They had improvised a concert in front of the town hall of the 11th arrondissement. The group had also played at the Olympia on February 16, 2016 for a concert in which the survivors of the Bataclan attack had been invited.
