The Dutch Grand Prix has finally been given a date. This year, Formula 1 would return to our frog country after 35 years, but the corona crisis threw a spanner in the works. The race in Zandvoort will take place next year, on September 5, 2021.
Zandvoort circuit is an important part of Formula 1 history. Almost all Formula 1 fans and connoisseurs were therefore delighted that the beautiful Dutch circuit would return to the calendar after being absent for 35 years. However, due to the corona crisis, the whole party was canceled, which was a big disappointment for everyone. Hopes were immediately pinned to 2021 and then the Dutch Grand Prix really seems to come. According to the Telegraph Several sources around the FOM and the FIA in Imola have confirmed that the race at Zandvoort will be organized a week after the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa-Franchorchamps. This puts the Dutch GP on September 5.

It is hoped that fans will be able to come to Zandvoort next year at the beginning of September Max Verstappen and to see the whole spectacle. The chance that the stands can be properly filled is in any case a lot greater in September than in May. For the Dutch Grand Prix, more than 100,000 visitors a day were expected this year, and the organizers of course hope that a similar number of fans will be able to attend the race next year.
The provisional calendar for 2021 is expected very soon. Of course, it remains to be seen whether all races can take place next season, but Formula 1 has somewhat covered itself for that. There are most likely no fewer than 23 races on the calendar for next year. These are the same locations as on the initial calendar for 2020, with Saudi Arabia in addition.
