On Friday at half past three there was a traffic accident in Jablonec nad Nisou, when the driver of the van overlooked the 61-year-old senior behind the van and knocked her down. After a collision with the van, the senior fell to the ground and, unfortunately, the driver passed her right wheel.
“The driver of the Renault Master started to reverse, overlooking the 61-year-old pedestrian who was behind the van at the time. After a collision with the car, the senior fell onto the road and the driver accidentally crossed the rear left wheel,” said police spokeswoman Dagmar Sochová.
The woman was subsequently transported to the Liberec hospital with severe injuries. The police excluded the driver’s alcohol because the breath test was negative.
“Police officers from the Transport Inspectorate in Jablonec nad Nisou, who are now investigating all the circumstances of the whole event, have already initiated criminal proceedings in the case on suspicion of committing the crime of grievous bodily harm through negligence,” Sochová added.
Apart from the garden of a family house in the Pardubice region, a tractor and a flatbed crashed. Watch the Nova TV report:
