An Indonesian couple I met at a reptile club became a hot topic when they exchanged a pair of snakes as a dowry.

According to Tribune News on the 28th, the bridegroom Sigit Agus Setiawan, who was married in Bogor outside Jakarta on the 21st, presented two snakes as a dowry to the bride Tiara Fuspita Dewi.

One is a white albino python, and the other is an amethyst python.

Two snakes, each 1m long, were delivered to the bride in a transparent box with a ribbon, and the groom brought a large snake raised at home to the ceremony to create an atmosphere.

The guests at the wedding also rejoiced when the snake appeared.

The groom said, “I have been fond of reptiles since I was a child, especially snakes. I joined the online reptiles club and met my wife. My wife also likes snakes.”

He then laughed, saying, “I told my wife I wanted to give her a snake as a dowry, and I readily agreed.”
