Dr. Yasser Abdel Qader, professor of oncology at Qasr Al-Ainy, and the doctor who treated the late artist Hisham Selim, revealed the nature of his illness and the final details of his life.
Abdel-Qader said in exclusive statements to Masrawy on Thursday that Hisham Selim had been treated for lung cancer for a full year or more after the cancer was discovered at an advanced stage.
He added: “There was a significant deterioration in his condition and he did not respond to treatment. He was very tired and in the end the disease was brutal.”
“Abdul-Qader” noted that “Salim” has had many different treatment paths, “he takes whatever can be achieved, be it chemotherapy, immunotherapy or radiotherapy, and for a whole year he has been trying to recover, but the disease it was discovered in the third stage and near the fourth stage, where there are great difficulties in treatment.
Regarding his relationship with him in his final days, the attending physician, Hisham Selim, said: “He resigned and realized that the treatment was unsuccessful, and he didn’t mention anything specific to me, and he was a great and classy person. “
A large number of art and sports stars have mourned artist Hisham Selim, who died after a fight with lung cancer at the age of 62.
The funeral of the deceased Hisham Selim will be held at the police mosque in the city of Sheikh Zayed after the afternoon prayer.
