Where’s Brendan Santo? The 18-year-old American student has been mysteriously missing in Michigan for two weeks. The young man, a student at Michigan State University, was visiting friends on October 29 during a college football game, when he vanished just before midnight. Since then, the mobilization is intense to find him. A reward of 10,000 dollars is promised to anyone who will provide information leading to him. Many volunteers have also chosen to lend a hand to the local police and the FBI in this investigation.
But the authorities are encountering difficulties. Last week, the university president explained that the surveillance camera installed in the residence where Brendan was located just before he disappeared was out of service at the time, WXYZ reports. The channel explains that the police are facing a wall, with no clue, no lead and no answer. “This is the most frustrating thing. It is as if the police are trying the best they can but have nothing to know in which direction to go, ”commented the young man’s aunt.
A river, priority area
Brendan was reportedly last seen walking alone near the Red Cedar River. Police said the river had become a priority area. “We weren’t able to search the entire river,” said Chris Rozman, Michigan State University Police Department inspector. “The river is vast on campus, we have searched areas of particular interest. We put our heart and soul into it and it is always important that we have a level of hope when we do our work ”.
Brendan’s family claimed they would never stop looking for him. “It’s not an option, we have to find this young man. He has to come home. The end of year celebrations are coming, we need him to be there, ”confided another of her aunts, still after WXYZ.
