The District of Lyon and the Rhône aims for a resumption of the championships on January 24

In its sixth opinion addressed to amateur clubs, the District of Lyon and the Rhône announced, through its president Arsène Meyer, that it was considering a resumption of the championships for January 24, 2021.

The news is reassuring and gives a better glimpse of the end of the tunnel. Indeed, the Sports and Competitions Commission of the District of Lyon and the Rhône is working on a resumption of amateur competitions for the weekend of the 24th day. Date on which the sixth days of the various levels concerned would be played, as specified by President Arsène Meyer in his last press release:

“For our District, I asked our Sports and Competitions Commission to work definitively on a project to resume our championship on JANUARY 24, 2021. To date, we are lucky, because we do not have a lot of late matches, and these will be rescheduled in the available spaces. If, however, the government allows us to restart earlier, we would first update our unplayed matches, before playing the 6th day that would be scheduled for January 24. “
