There has never been a definite recipe in the film industry for scoring a box office, various similar patterns used sometimes miss even though they were successful before.
As happened with Netflix where they returned to making another big-budget film, namely Heart of Stone.
Starring Gal Gadot, the film failed to achieve good results. Despite being the no.1 film on Netflix at the moment, the film only has 30% on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 58%.
The story that was predicted to be the female version of Mission Impossible did not get a positive reaction from the audience, in fact there were 100 comments containing criticism on the site.
This is also Gal Gadot’s second mega project with Netflix, which has received an unfavorable response. On Red Notice, which he starred with Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, they even only got a score of 37%.
In the film Heart of Stone, Gal Gadot appears as Rachel Stone, a spy who is tasked with protecting the world’s security.
Maybe this is not the first action film from the Israeli actress, but hopefully there is a valuable lesson to be learned from this project.
This was disclosed in an interview with detikcom last June. Gal Gadot mentioned Rachel’s character as an agent who is successful in every mission but has problems with forming relationships with her colleagues.
“Wow, (so) Rachel I really enjoyed playing this character. She is someone with so many characters, on the one hand she can be full of adrenaline and she really likes the missions. She is the best spy but on the other hand she was an unpredictable person, he had a hard time working with the systems and rules there, he was wild and couldn’t get too close to people.”
“I think it’s just instinct and the fact that he has to follow his heart, it’s something I’m trying to do in his life,” he explained
