The Difference Between Emil Audero Mulyadi and Andre Onana: Calmness and Indonesian Blood

Milan

Emil Audero Mulyadi revealed the difference between him and the former goalkeeper Inter Milan, Andrew Onan. He admits that he is calmer because he has Indonesian blood.

Audero is Inter Milan’s new player in the 2023 summer transfer market. The 26-year-old goalkeeper is on loan from Sampdoria with a permanent purchase option.

Inter made Audero Yann Sommer’s deputy who was recruited from Bayern Munich. Nerazzurri previously lost Andre Onana who chose to leave Manchester United, and Samir Handanovic whose contract expired.

Onana had become the main goalkeeper Inter Milan before leaving for MU. He took out his emotions several times on his own team-mates on the field, from Marcelo Brozovic to Edin Dzeko.

Emil Audero Mulyadi emphasized that he was not an emotional goalkeeper like Onana. The Juventus academy graduate believes that his Indonesian blood makes him calmer.

“In terms of emotion and character, I am more like an Italian. But I try to balance it with the calm and balance of my Indonesian aspect,” said Audero, quoted from Football Italia.

Audero was born in Indonesia, precisely in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara, on January 18 1997. His father is from Indonesia, while his mother is Italian.

When he was one year old, Audero was brought to Italy and lived with his mother’s family. He entered the Juventus academy at the age of 11 and debuted in the Old Lady’s senior team in 2017.

Emil Audero Mulyadi joined Sampdoria in 2019 and made 163 appearances in Serie A. He has also defended the Italian national team in various age categories, but has yet to receive a call-up to the senior team.
