As the number of COVID-19 cases increases and the rare ‘black fungus’ infection spreads, India is now facing another new threat known as infection’white mushrooms‘.
Previous cases of black fungus infection or mucormycosis have been found in COVID-19 patients, people with diabetes, people who have kidney or heart problems, or those who use high amounts of steroids.
Meanwhile, white yeast infection or Aspergillosis was recently found in four people from Patna, Bihar. In fact, one of them is a specialist doctor who is quite well known in his area.
Quoting India TV News, white fungus is known to be four times more dangerous than black fungus. The reason is, this infection can damage many parts of the body and spreads to the lungs.
White yeast infection also shows severe effects on the kidneys, mouth, skin, and brain. Not only adults, small children can also be infected by white fungus.
