TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – The Democrats commented on the statement by the general chairman of the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN), Gede Pasek Suardika, that Anas Urbaningrum ready to open up about the corruption of Wisma Hambalang.
According to Herzaky, currently the relationship between Democratic General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono alias ME with the former chairman of the Democratic Party, Anas Urbaningrum, in good condition, there are no problems. Precisely said Herzaky, many efforts from outside are trying to bring the two together.

Herzaky didn’t want to argue with Anas’ freedom. The Democrats, he said, want to focus on the people who are facing many difficulties after the pandemic.
“We in the Democrats focus on helping people who are in trouble,” he said.
He emphasized that currently there is no significant reduction in poverty during the eight years of President Joko Widodo or Jokowi’s leadership. “Far less compared to the SBY era,” he said.
Herzaky also highlighted unemployment cases which did not show a downward trend. “Recently, layoffs have spread everywhere,” he said.
He also advised other parties to stop dealing with the internal affairs of other parties and focus on the work programs of their respective parties. Moreover, next year is an election year. “Let the people decide in the 2024 elections,” he said.
PKN version of Anas case irregularities
Previously, the General Chairperson of the Nusantara Awakening Party (PKN) Gede Pasek Suardika said that after Anas Urbaningrum was released, he would return to politics. According to Pasek, Anas Urbaningrum is ready to open up about the corruption at Wisma Hambalang.
“Oh yes, later he will join and it will be opened, and it will not just be a leaked srindik which is a problem with the black history of the KPK at that time,” said Pasek in Jakarta, Tuesday, 28 February 2023.
Pasek alluded to the incessant efforts to make Anas Urbaningrum a suspect. For example, he said, regarding the acceptance of the Harrier car gratuity in the Hambalang case.
“In this example, the PK decision stated that Mas Anas was not proven to be in the Harrier car, while he was made a suspect in the Harrier car. The suspect was developed and then Hambalang,” said the former DPD-RI member.
Pasek also assessed that at that time the witness examination by KPK in the Hambalang case it is not balanced. This is because, according to him, a number of related parties have not been investigated.
“I think at the time the questioning was a bit funny as well as making an issue of congress, but the SC chairman was not examined, the chairman of the Board of Trustees was not examined to explain how the incident happened,” said Pasek.
