The decision to evacuate two defendants in the train accident case in Ankara

On 13 December 2018 in Ankara, YHT made a Ankara-Konya flight. 9 people were killed in the accident, 3 of them machinists, 107 people were injured.

At the end of the investigation initiated by the Ankara Public Prosecutor’s Office, 10 people were sued. The first hearing of the case was seen by the Ankara 30th High Criminal Court. Detainees and non-detained defendants, relatives of the citizens who died in the accident, injured in the accident and party lawyers participated in the case.

Two evacuation decisions

In today’s hearing of the case all the defendants’ defenses were taken. Then the statements of the defendants and their lawyers were taken. The arrested defendants and their lawyers demanded their release. After the prosecutor’s opinion, the court decided to release the interim defendant movement officer Sinan Yavuz and the traffic controller Emin Ercan Erbey.
