The first session of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality’s ordinary parliamentary meeting was held under the chairmanship of Tunç Soyer.
DECISION ON CEMEVLER
The Assembly took the decision on the development of 7 cemevis in the province as a place of worship for zoning plans. Parliament, Bornova 2, Aliaga, Bayrakli, Cigli, Konak and Selcuk districts of each cemevi as a field of worship plans for processing commissions, the decision adopted by majority vote.
AKP ‘NO’ MHP’DEN PERSON ‘YES’ said
MHP Osman Osman Mert voted for the resolution, while AKP and other MHP members voted for rejection. Mert said, “I think that the public and my own conscience should be supported. I support him as someone who has entered the Cemevi and felt it there and I think it should be supported.. DHA
