The Debelle-Fontaine family, a golden family for pink October in Tomblaine

5007 people took part on Sunday, October 17 in Tomblaine near Nancy in the walk and run organized as part of Pink October. A beautiful sporting celebration placed under the sign of solidarity in which the Debelle-Fontaine family took part.

More than 5,000 people gathered on Sunday October 17 at the Raymond Petit stadium in Tomblaine in Meurthe-et-Moselle as part of Pink October. On the program, walking and running between Tomblaine, Saint-Max and Nancy for the benefit of the fight against breast cancer.

Among these thousands of participants, we met members of the Debelle-Fontaine family. A family that came in force and in numbers to participate in these strides in Nancy. Several generations were even present. There was indeed Hélène the mother particularly concerned by breast cancer: “I had breast cancer for the first time and then a second 7 years ago, and I’m happy that my daughter and granddaughters are supporting this movement because I think it’s useful for prevention. For years, we didn’t talk about it as much. We were each in our own corner doing our little things “. Hélène’s daughter, Sandrine, who came with her husband, her daughters and other members of the family, insists on the importance of the presence in her eyes of several generations:“My mom, my grandmother who will be arriving later, my daughters, my nieces, I think it’s great. It’s something that is really close to our hearts because we are already a high-risk family. has had several breast cancers in the family and thanks to screening these are people who were taken care of quickly. My nieces when I told them – there is one who lives in the Paris region, the other who lives in Metz – there is Pink October, immediately they took their train tickets and they came running because it is something that is close to their hearts. “

Even Pauline, the youngest daughter of Sandrine, at the height of her 12 years old, wanted to participate by taking part for the first time in the “great race”: “It’s a race for a good cause. It’s better with the family because we are surrounded by our loved ones. We feel less alone in the midst of 5,000 other girls.”

Of the 13 euros registration fee, 5 euros will be donated to the League against cancer of Meurthe-et-Moselle and then, important information, next year the event will start from Place Stanislas. Enough to generate even more mobilization. There is no doubt that the Debelle-Fontaine family will once again be in the game.
